Main Plot « Thread Started on May 18, 2008, 3:42pm »
The year is 2008. Voldemort is long gone and no longer a threat to the world, and with Headmistress Minerva McGonagall at the lead of Hogwarts, new students come in every year. However, some of the older students have vanished and not all of those registered to show up at the age of eleven actually show.
A mystery to most but a thorn in the eye of the Ministry of Magic, since they know where these students are. Born just like any other witch, wizard or muggle, but with a little extra, there is a new race of magickers. Feared and despised by most other wizards, these children are shunned and often cast out of the family they where born into, having no where to go.
But now, they do have somewhere. In the steep highlands of Ireland there lies a School, created for these children. It has been there for decades, undiscovered and unknown to most, they teach, guide and help to control the sometimes terrifying powers that these children can hold. The people that live and teach are no normal Witches or Wizards. Magisters they are called, the teachers of the unknown.
So, now you know. You no longer have to run or be afraid of prosecution, as you are welcomed within the doors of Áras Leanaí.

Now, before any of you start wondering, where exactly do we stand in the normal wizarding community? Here's your answer.
Off course, with leftovers Death Eathers running amok in England, the Ministry has bigger things to worry about then our little school. So, we are not officially involved with them. However, before the war started, things where different.
Aurors where send by the Ministry to 'put out small fires', as they call it. This means that under the cover of a ghost operation, Aurors would be send to Ireland with the intention of either finding Aras Leanai or to beat the Finders to it and retrieve Magister children before we could educate them here, at Aras Leanai. Our group would prevent that, as the Finders are also trained in combat, precisely for these reasons.
You see, the British Ministry may want to attack us, but they can't. Because that would imply they are willing to attack innocent children. Not only that, but to openly attack us would, in the eyes of the Irish Government give us the perfect excuse to strike back. Now. That is something they do not want. So, they attack sneakily and try to steal students out from under us whenever they get the opportunity.
This all began after Voldemorts first rise. Back before then, wizards didn't see us as much of a threat. They saw the need to educate children with other powers before they became a threat to themselves or their environment. But when the school refused to join them in their battle against Voldemort they accused us of siding with him. Of sitting back and waiting until either one or the other side was defeated, so that we might take over.
We did neither though, and proved them wrong. Since then, some wizards changed their minds and, Minerva McGonnagal being one of them, we had the chance to help more children.
We thought that, with Voldemort's lackeys still running loose they would leave us alone. Oh, how were we wrong.
